Flagging Users
ControlCheck utilizes analytics to examine user profiles within the last 30 days and flags any provider whose IRIS was red during that timeframe.
The IRIS User Flagging feature is an optional feature that allows ControlCheck users to flag providers for review when their IRIS is red. There is also an optional Cool-off Period feature that sets the number of days before ControlCheck will flag a "Reviewed" user for review. The purpose is to reduce re-flagging of the same transactions for a "Reviewed" user. We recommend a 30-day cool-off to avoid re-view of the same transactions.
If IRIS User Flagging is enabled, ControlCheck will flag users with a red hospital IRIS score outside the cool-off period. On the other hand, if it is disabled, users will have to manually flag providers for review. Additionally, users do have the ability to flag users whose IRIS is not red.
Note: To adjust these settings, please submit a support ticket.
How can I tell if a user has been flagged?
A flagged user will have an open IRIS review and a review status. The user could have been flagged automatically by ControlCheck or manually by another user.
Why would ControlCheck flag a user?
ControlCheck will automatically flag a user if he/she had a red IRIS within the last 30 days or if the user's last completed review was after the cool-off period.
How can I manually flag a user?
To open an IRIS review and flag a user, move an unflagged user to a review status.
How can I tell if a user is unflagged?
Unflagged users will not have an open IRIS review. Typically, unflagged users have green/yellow IRIS scores, because they are considered less risky than their peers.
