As a cloud-based application accessed via existing networked workstations at the hospital facility, access to the solution is dependent on a reliable internet connection. Due to the redundancies and fail-over capabilities of the ControlCheck servers and application architecture, users should not experience any server-side downtimes. All new features and functionality improvements are pushed silently and the application automatically refreshes for the end-user. The only downtimes required for maintenance of the solution are very infrequent (2-3 times per year), scheduled and communicated in advance, and lasting no more than 1 hour, usually during overnight or off-peak usage hours.
Depending on the data delivery selection made in implementation, users may experience delays in the delivery of relevant data due to either user error (with manual uploads) or changes with the initiating SFTP port.
The nature of the audit and reconciliation daily review workflow accommodates for short delays should internet access become unreliable or intermittent. Bluesight recommends simply shifting the review and management of open items to the point in time when internet access is restored or any data transmission issues have been resolved. All preceding data will be intact and available upon the resumption of use.
