Patient Audit - Edit an Event Summary Card

Editing Event Summaries

You can edit one or multiple event summaries by selecting the checkboxes next to the desired events.

To select all of the event summaries at once select the checkbox at the top of the audit table. Once the box is checked a new window will appear at the bottom of the screen where you can select the Update button to trigger the Edit Event Summary panel.

The Edit Event Summary panel has three options:

  • Status - allows you to update the status of an event summary
  • Assign - allows you to assign one or more users to an event summary
  • Notes - allows you to add notes to the event summary card(s)

You can edit a single event summary or do bulk editing. Single and bulk edits use the same Edit Event Summary panel. Ensure that you are editing the right number of event summaries by checking the top left corner.

Pro-tip!

The Edit Events Summary panel header will change to Bulk Edit when you select more than one event summary, but we recommend double-checking to make sure you have the correct number selected for editing.

Bulk editing is useful when multiple variances have the same outcome or explanation. Prior to saving your updates, you can review the right side of the panel to review the changes being made. This panel is different from the Event Editor feature which will be explained in another article.
