Note: This article only pertains to customers utilizing the legacy version of ControlCheck where IRIS Worklist has not been enabled.
How to Open a New Investigation
If you have flagged a user as suspicious and want to take a deeper dive into their event data and patterns, you can open an Investigation in two ways:
- From the IRIS Dashboard
- From the Investigation Portfolio page
Open an Investigation from the IRIS Dashboard
To navigate to the IRIS Dashboard and open a new investigation:
- Select Analyze in the main navigation bar and select the IRIS Analytics tab.
- From the IRIS Dashboard, select the provider card for the user you want to open an investigation for.
- Under the Detailed Risk Score Analysis panel, select the Open Investigation link.
- In the pop-up window, select one of the reasons below as a justification for initiating a new investigation.
- Open Reasons
- Bluesight Data
- Colleague Reported
- Patient Reported
- Routine Surveillance
- Self Reported
- Open Reasons
- Select the Open Investigation button to launch the investigation.
A provider can have more than one investigation if they are created by different users. If a provider already has an investigation open, the Open Investigation option is changed to View Investigation.
Open an Investigation from an Investigation Portfolio
You can also open an investigation for a user if they already have an open investigation, so long as it is created by a different user.
To navigate to a provider's user portfolio and open a new investigation follow the steps below.
- Select Investigate in the main navigation bar.
- On the Investigations page, select the name of the provider you want to open an additional portfolio for.
- Select the Open a New Investigation button and select the reason for opening the investigation.
- Select the Open Investigation button to launch the investigation.
