New Homepage: ControlCheck Dashboard is Live!
The ControlCheck Dashboard is finally here! Our goal with this exciting new homepage is to help you focus your workflow, quickly understand how your facility is doing at a high level, make the login experience snappier, and provide an easy jumping point to multiple parts of the application.
If you have the Dashboard set as your preferred landing page, when you log into ControlCheck, a snapshot of data for the last 30 days will now be right at your fingertips. You can also click the ControlCheck logo at the top left corner to be taken to the Dashboard at any time in the app.
With two panels worth of data, reporting on monthly progress is now easier than ever. The Documentation Accuracy panel gives you an overview of how the documentation at your facility measures up. Concerned about a particular IRIS provider? The Top Trending IRIS Providers panel gives you a quick glance at which providers have had the highest score increases and decreases over the last month. Let's dive into some more details and functionality below.
Documentation Accuracy Panel
When you need to grab some metrics on your facility's performance quickly, the Documentation Accuracy panel is a perfect tool for that. In the outlined box below, you will see the following details:
- Open Variances percentage - represents the ratio of currently open variances from the last 30 days as compared to the total number of event summaries from the last 30 days.
- Closed-Reconciled percentage - represents the ratio of variances closed by staff as reconciled from the last 30 days as compared to the total number of event summaries from the last 30 days.
- Closed-Unreconciled percentage - represents the ratio of variances closed by staff as unreconciled from the last 30 days as compared to the total number of event summaries from the last 30 days.
- Closed by ControlCheck percentage - represents the ratio of event summaries auto-closed by ControlCheck from the last 30 days as compared to the total number of event summaries from the last 30 days.
To jump directly to the Audit table, click on any of the percentages.
To view the event summary breakdown by department, hover over a department bar. This panel will also provide you with a breakdown of variance rates by department, sorted by their Priority.
Priority is indicated by Red: High Risk, Yellow: Medium Risk, and Green: Low Risk. Priority is assessed by incorporating information about both the variance rate and the total variance counts. More specifically, the bars are ranked highest to lowest variance count, modulated by a function of the total number of medication events.
- Higher percentages of higher overall med event counts will be ranked higher in the order.
- A high variance rate, even as high as 100% in a low volume area, may rank below a lower variance rate in a higher volume area.
The overall count of medication events for a specific metric - department, medication, individual - is indicated by the length of the bar. Those Closed-ControlCheck medication events are indicated by the grey portion of the bar.
The variance rate is displayed as a percentage and reflects the number of variances compared against the total number of medication events.
Click on a department bar to drill down to the Nursing Variance Trends report for that department.
Top Trending IRIS Providers
This panel showcases the new addition of trending IRIS data to the IRIS Dashboard by providing a condensed snapshot of which providers might spark a need for further investigation. If your facility has hundreds or thousands of providers, it can be challenging to pick the outlier out of the group amongst dozens of red IRIS providers.
The Increases lane will highlight the top five providers with the largest score increase from one month ago to today. The Decreases lane will highlight the top five providers with the largest score decrease from one month ago to today.
To jump directly to analytics, click the link that says Go to IRIS Dashboard.
To view the IRIS Dashboard for a particular provider on the list, click anywhere in that provider's name card.
