Variances E-mail Notification
We are pleased to announce a new ControlCheck Notification for open variances in a user’s hospital and departments. The notification will call ControlCheck users into action by alerting them daily or weekly of open variances and will provide them with a snapshot of their audit counts. The email will come from ControlCheck-notifications@kitcheck.com.
Users can choose to receive this email notification daily or weekly, and they also have the option to select a time of day they’d like to receive it. Users who receive this email will be notified of open variances in all departments they have access to for the last 24 hours, as well as a count of how many of those variances have been open for greater than 3 or 7 days, depending on the user’s frequency preference. If the preference is daily, the email will alert of variances open for greater than 3 days; if the preference is weekly, the email will alert of variances open for greater than 7 days. The email will also provide a breakdown of counts of open variances by department. This information will be for all time, meaning it will display a count of all open events in those departments. If a variance spans more than one department, then it will be counted in each department it is in, given that the user receiving the email has access to all of those departments. For example, if User A has access to departments B and C, and a given variance spans both departments, then User A’s variances email will show a count of that one variance for each department in the breakdown. If there are no new variances in the last 24 hours and a user has their delivery frequency set to daily, then they will not receive the email.
This email notification is available to all users and is independent of a security role or permission. Users who have logged into ControlCheck in the last 30 days will automatically have this notification turned on. For new users and users who have not been active in the last 30 days, this notification will default to be turned off; but can subscribe to the variances email from their Notifications page.
To turn on the notification, navigate to the User Menu > Notifications.
Click the toggle for the option to Subscribe to Variances Email Notification.
Select the desired delivery frequency, day, and time from the scheduler box. If the preferred frequency is everyday, select Daily from the dropdown.
Next, select a delivery time from the dropdown. Finally, click Save.
If the preferred frequency is once a week, select Weekly from the dropdown.
Next, select a day to receive the email on and a delivery time. Make sure to click Save.
To turn off the Notification, simply click the toggle again to turn it from green to gray which indicates the subscription has been turned off.
Upgrades & Fixes
- Fixed a bug where users could not change the user role in the mapping of a provider if they had deleted events.
- Fixed a bug with hospital files that contain double quotes in drug names to allow for successful processing of the files and data.
