Quickly Grab a User's Last 30 Days of Variance Data With This New Update! ?

Ever been investigating an open variance and found yourself wanting to take a deeper dive into that user's activity for the last 30 days? Well, now you can with the click of one button! The ControlCheck team is super excited to release URL linking to the Run Report page. URL linking allows software products to provide easy-to-use patterns to drill into a particular data or element of interest. We have similar patterns already in the Investigate Data workflow from the IRIS Analytics reports. This feature launch has now paved the way for more deep linking and saved filters on the Run Report page and in the reporting workflow.

To drill into a certain user's activity for the last 30 days, click the IRIS tab from an event summary they appear on. When the IRIS tabs open, click the link to Run a Report, and the Run Report page will open in a new tab.

Once you're on the new tab, you'll see that the date range is pre-filled to the last 30 days, the user is pre-filtered to in the User Name filter and the Open, Closed-Reconciled, and Closed-Unable to reconcile statues are pre-selected. The data is also pre-populated on the page for easy in-app viewing. Download the Summary or Detailed Transaction Reports for the user with one extra click!

Use this update to easily add a user's variance activity to an open investigation or send to their department manager for review.

Audit Page Updates: Cleaner Design and Better Performance

Over the course of the last six months, the ControlCheck Product team has worked with countless early adopters and users of the Audit 2 page and has collected hundreds of threads of feedback about overall usability, design, and performance. In our latest update, we bring you the freshest customer collaboration right off the press! One common point of feedback was that there was a little too much information on the screen in the new design; particularly on a single event summary card. Patient, drug, location, and date information are all extremely relevant to the pursual of quick variance investigation so we wanted to make those front and center. We have moved the Event Summary ID (ES ID) to the right side of the card to make the appearance a little less busy. We put Patient Name and IDs right at the top to allow the patient name to stand out better on the card. All these updates and tweaks are in direct response to our valued customers' feedback and we hope you'll continue to let us know what you think! Feel free to drop us a note about the new Audit page to product-ControlCheck@kitcheck.com.

In this release, we also updated the color design of the editing panel that pops up from the bottom to provide a cleaner user experience. The Bulk-Edit workflow also received a performance upgrade. Many users were reporting issues with the bulk editing workflow where the system would freeze or load indefinitely after a bulk edit or change was made to a set of event summaries. The users often reported that the system would produce an Internal Server Error after loading for 5 mins or a successful reload of the page after a hard refresh. We discovered that the performance was worsened in the bulk workflow because the system was failing to perform each action in an optimal way. We reworked how we do a few things on the backend and streamlined a few batch updates into one to see a 75% increase in performance.

We hope you like the changes are enjoying the new Audit workflow. Stay tuned for the next release; there's even more to come!

Upgrades & Fixes

  • Fixed an issue with the EDI workflow that would fail to create and release events into the Pharmacy Audit page when duplicate files or invoices were received.
  • Fixed an issue with the System Benchmarks reports displaying the unspecified department in this list of available departments. The unspecified department contains your unmapped and filtered/ignored locations so there is no need to see ControlCheck System Benchmarks reports for those locations in that department.
  • Fixed an issue with emailing event summaries that contained an event without a location. This fix allows the email to still be created and sent with a blank location field.
  • Fixed an issue with the Select All selection in the filters on the Run Report page.
