Features
Patient Merge Sanity Check on MRN (Reverted Feature in R123.1)
Update as of 2022-07-12
- We released a hotfix R123.1 to revert the changes made to the system for this new feature and effectively remove it from Production. On the afternoon of 06-30-22, we deployed R123 to production.
- The next morning on 07-01, we started receiving reports of event summaries not linking that should have due to an incorrectly split patient. Read this Prod Support ticket for more detail.
- We also identified a decrease in closed-ControlCheck rate for customers between the two days. For example, on 06-30, MD Anderson had a 97% closed-ControlCheck rate, and on 07-01, they had an 87% closed-ControlCheck rate.
- We identified an issue isolated to this new MRN feature so we deployed a hotfix that afternoon to remove the MRN merge feature from Production to prevent any more incorrectly split summaries from happening.
- Any unlinked events due to this issue likely self-resolved when data from 07-02 came into ControlCheck. For any cases that did not auto-resolve, we recommend that the customer manually close these as reconciled.
- We have an updated version of this feature in progress that we plan to release in R125 to get this feature back into Prod and avoid future incorrect patient merges.
- This ticket is still in development as of 07-12-2022 and is still on target to be re-released in R125.
Added an Assigned Users Column to the Run Report Page
Our latest upgrade to the Run Report page is the addition of the Assignment workflow. Users with access to view and edit event summaries can now interact with the Assignment feature directly on the Run Report page. To see which user(s) are currently assigned to an event, view the Assignment column. If more than one user is assigned, we will show the number of users instead of their names. To change the assignee on an event summary, click into the Assignment column and edit the assignee. To add a new assignee, select a user's name and click Save. This page does not support the bulk-assignment workflow that is available on the Audit page.
Upgrades & Fixes
- App-wide updates to typography in the menu bars and side navigations to more closely align the user interface and design of ControlCheck for Controlled Substances with ControlCheck Insights.
- Fixed an issue with the interaction between the Assignment filter and the Group By logic on the Audit 2.0 page.
- Updated the pharmacy module logic to store the medication identifier on the event details to allow for re-reconciliation of pharmacy events when needed to for medication mapping changes.
Upcoming Features & Bug Fixes
The feature enhancements and bug fixes below are tentatively scheduled the go live on the dates listed. For a full rundown of all new features and fixes, make sure to read the Release Notes articles for those dates.
Release 125 - Week of 07-26-22
- Enhancements to the automated Wholesaler Invoice data feed, such as the ability to automatically map new NDCs as they enter the ControlCheck system from your invoice receipt data.
- Enhancements to all medication workflows to ensure duplicate meds are not created in the ControlCheck formulary and ensure a better, more stream-lined med mapping user experience.
- Performance enhancements to the Patient ID/Name Search on the Audit page.
- Ability to re-reconcile pharmacy events and auto-resolve false variances caused by incorrect med mapping. When an NDC is split and remapped to a new ControlCheck med or a Wholesaler Multiplier is changed on a medication used in the pharmacy module, a user can choose to re-reconcile the events for that medication identifier to auto-resolve past variances created.
- Ability to 'select all' Departments with the click of one checkbox when creating new user Security Roles.
- Ability to run a report for a certain provider directly from the Audit event summary cards.
- Bug fix for unexpected scrolling on the Audit page that causes an extremely poor user experience.
Release 126 - Week of 08-09-22
- Upgrades to the Shift Analysis v2 Report that incorporates Kronos Time and Attendance data.
- Updates to the "unspecified" department in ControlCheck for an enhanced experience of Location/Department management in ControlCheck.
