System Benchmarks - Documentation Accuracy

Documentation Accuracy

Use the Documentation Accuracy report under System Benchmarks to review trending data over a selected date range. You can use this report to monitor patterns and variance trends from multiple perspectives, including an overall look at all your hospital systems, a single hospital, and all departments in a hospital. 

Access the Documentation Accuracy Page

Navigate to the Analyze tab in the main dashboard menu and select System Benchmarks in the drop-down menu. This will forward you to the System Benchmarks page where you can then select the Documentation Accuracy tab in the left-side menu.  

Filters

By choosing a date range and selecting the View Report button you can initiate your search before the application attempts to load or return data. 

After the initial query, you can filter the data further by:

• Hospitals
• Departments - When in Department Trending View and Department View.

Download Report

You can select the Download Report button next to the filters to download the report data to a CSV or PDF file. 

Review Report Data and Views

You can view the data for documentation accuracy in a graph or table view. The default view is Graph. 

You can also view documentation accuracy data in three different views:

• System View
• Hospital Trending View
• Department Trending View
• Departments View

These views display the hospitals and departments you have access to. The default view is System View.

You can easily toggle between Graph and Table views in the Documentation Accuracy report. Your filters and the accompanying data will remain the same, but the format presents itself differently based on the view you select. 

The Documentation Accuracy department displays the following information:

• Hospital/Department Name
• Total number of event summaries for the hospital/department
• Percentage/Number of Event Summary Statuses:
  • Open
  • Closed Reconciled
  • Closed Unreconciled
  • Closed Bluesight

Percentage or Digit

You can switch every view except the System View - Graph View to display the percentage of the total or number of the total.

System View

The Documentation Accuracy - System View visually indicates the portion of event statuses out of the total number of events for all hospitals in your system. Use the color-coded key to determine what portion of the total bar is each event status. 

You can hover over a section of a hospital bar to view the percentages.

Hospital Trending View

The Hospital Trending View displays a visual indication of the trend of event statuses over the course of three months for a single hospital. This information is displayed in a line graph, rather than a bar graph. 

You can hover over a point in the line to view the percentages of event statuses at that given time.

To access the Hospital Trending View:

1. From System View, click View Hospital Trending Data. 
2. Select the hospital you want to view from the Hospital drop-down.

To go back to System View, click View System Combined Data.

Department Trending View

The Department Trending View displays the trend of event statuses over the course of three months for the selected departments in a single hospital. This information is displayed in a line graph, rather than a bar graph.  

You can hover over a point in the line to view the percentages of event statuses at that given time. 

To access the Department Trending View:

1. From System View, click View Hospital Trending Data.
2. Select the hospital you want to view from the Hospital drop-down.
3. Click View [Hospital Name's] Departments.

To go back to System View, click View [Hospital Name]. Then click View System Combined Data.
