Features

New Physician User Role

ControlCheck now offers the ability to map your users, or providers, to a Physician role via the User Mapper tool. As we learn more about the challenges our customers face, we adapt to help better conquer those challenges. We understand the need to differentiate Physician users from others, such as Anesthesiologists or CRNAs, and we are excited to provide this flexibility in ControlCheck. The Physician role is available from the User Mapper tool; new and existing users can be mapped to this role. ControlCheck Managers have access to the User Mapper tool. Note that this change will only be applied to new data for that user and will not update the role of the user on previous event summaries.

To map a user to a Physician role, click on the Manage tab and select View User Mapping. Find the name of the user you wish to assign the Physician role to and click Edit.

From the Edit User Mapping page, select the Physician role, and click Save.

You will see a green banner at the top of the screen once the User Role has been successfully updated.

Physician users can be filtered on in the User Role field from the Run Report page.

You will be able to view this data in the Summary Report and Detailed Transaction Report. There will be a new, unique column for Physician, along with the other columns for user role types (e.g. RN, Anesthesiologist, Nurse Practitioner, etc.). This will allow you to filter the reports by Physician users. Note that if OR events are filtered out or not captured by ControlCheck, then the events with mapped Physicians will not appear on the Review Audit table or in User Analytics.

If your hospital has the OR module, the User Analytics will contain the Physician user role and will be viewable on all providers assigned this role. For more information on the OR module, reach out to your Solutions Consultant.

If you have additional suggestions for new user roles, please reach out to your Solutions Consultant.
