Features

Email Event Summary

One major ask of our customers is to give them the ability to email out an event summary directly from ControlCheck. Once turned on for your hospital, ControlCheck Managers have the ability to enable or disable the feature for Security Role Permissions. If enabled, a user has the option from the review modal screen or from the expanded event summary view to email an event summary in plain text from their email client. PHI-compliant reminders are presented to the user as they hover over the option to send the email from the UI. A reminder also exists in the body of the email so users are aware before sending the event summary that it contains PHI.

A couple of things to be aware of:

  1. A reminder that when using this feature you are emailing PHI and treat it as such (send over secure or encrypted email).
  2. There is a character limit of 2,037 that can be passed from ControlCheck to the body of the e-mail. This comes out to be about 8 events per event summary. If event summaries contain more characters than the limit a message displays saying the event summary is too long.

Navigate to Manage > Security Roles > Permissions > turn the option on to enable it

As a reminder, all Full Access security role users will automatically receive the permission if the feature is turned on for the hospital.

Expand the event summary or open the review modal screen and click <Email event summary> to initiate the email client.

System Benchmarks - Side Menu

The System Benchmarks landing page has been upgraded to include a side menu for easy navigation to reports. As more reports are created, they will be accessed from the side menu. You will no longer land directly on the Documentation Accuracy report after navigating to the System Benchmarks page - you must select it from the side menu.

Labs: IRIS Trending

A new page has been added to Labs. The page shows users current IRIS score, the increase (or decrease) over the past 12 weeks, the ranking in the provider list increase (or decrease).

Graphically, the page shows all users in the hospitals IRIS as individual clickable lines on the top right graph. The bottom right graph shows all metric scores and IRIS as well as activity level (weekly count of events).

Upgrades & Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where customer files were taking too long to finish processing
  • Truly duplicate events in a later daily file will be added to existing event summaries instead of creating new event summaries.
