Adding Multiple Collaborators at Once for Investigations

Our Bluesight Community spoke and we listened!

Bluesight just launched our new Community forum where customers can share, discuss, and upvote feature ideas alongside their fellow ControlCheck-ers.

A customer recently shared that it would save them a lot of time to be able to add multiple Investigation Collaborators at one time, instead of having to add them one by one. In this release, we are excited to enhance the Investigation workflow with this ability.

When you click to Add Collaborator(s), you will have the option to multi-select from the list of users available. Once you have your list of Collaborators selected, click Add Collaborators.

Each Collaborator added will be documented in the Activity Log and any subscribed users will receive a notification about the addition of the Collaborators to that Investigation.

Enhancements to Med Trends to Include Variances

Based on data analysis and customer feedback, we have made changes to Med Trends IRIS report. With our release coming out this week, the ControlCheck Med Trends scoring algorithm will be updated to better highlight outlier behavior for individual medications and to include greater comparison with department peers. These changes have been validated by research on 20 hospital cohorts with 70 known diverters.

The goal of this change is to draw out very unusual behavior for one med so it generally counts more than mildly unusual behavior for a few meds. By expanding this report to include open, closed-reconciled, and closed-unreconciled event summaries, we are increasing visibility into the handling of controlled substances.

Events that are part of variances are now included in the metric score and will be viewable in the Med Trends report data from the Investigate Data page.

In this example, the user Emilee Erickson has three total event summaries that total 8 mg of Hydromorphone dispensed feeding into her IRIS and Med Trends scores.

Auto Resolve Documentation, PF, and Patient ID Errors

This release features an enhancement to the Audit, Run Report, and Admin Tools pages to more clearly report on documentation errors such as multiple patient FINs and differences in Preservative Free (PF) statuses on meds. Audit page users will see Patient ID Error if the event summary auto resolved despite the patient having multiple FINs across the events.
