Improvements to IRIS Navigation - sneak peek, coming soon!
Over the past couple of releases our team has been hard at work at improving the navigation of IRIS. This work will be ongoing but one of the initial enhancements we are making is moving the navigation of the IRIS Dashboard and associated metrics to a left-hand side panel. This allows us to implement “Global Filters” (date, user, department, role)) so as you navigate across metrics, those filters “stick” and aren’t reset each time. Currently, this work is behind a hospital feature flag while we are in development and no customers are experiencing this change just yet. Ideally over the next release or two we will be in a position to kick-off a beta for sites to use the new navigation and we’ll then roll out the new layout to all customers shortly after that. Here is a sneak peek of what this looks like so far:
We are excited to provide a sneak peek at the new navigation of IRIS and metrics. Look out for beta opportunities soon to use the new layout which will include Global Filters.
Each Metric page will have Secondary Filters that are specific to that metric page. Global Filters will be available to be set and “stick” as users navigate from metric to metric.
Updates & Fixes
- A fix to address an issue with hospitals using Variance Categories in beta whereby the users could not close summaries and the variance category filter and dropdown in the edit panel were shown if the hospital is not using the feature but was in the same hospital group of a hospital using the feature in beta.
- Improved queuing process to have high-priority tasks such as ensuring event summaries appear on the audit table aren’t held up by lower-priority tasks such as mapping.
- Fixed an issue with floating decimal point in med trends avg. mass component would significantly spike a users IRIS score.
- Enhanced duplicate event checking to also including the source file line number so we don’t inadvertently create duplicate events.
- A bug fix to restrict medication uniqueness to mapped meds only which addresses issues with empty EDI files and creating duplicate ignored meds.
- Minor changes to icons used across the application (Notepad icon, etc.).
- Minor application performance improvements.
Upcoming Features & Bug Fixes (next release)
Release Racemethorphan - Week of 09-11-23
- Continued work on IRIS navigation improvements. Specifically, we are looking to improve the navigation and guidance of IRIS by adding global filters to make the review/investigation process much more seamless.
