Features

Investigation Alerting

A few releases ago, we added new roles to the Investigations security role allowing users to be Viewers or Admins of Investigations. Since these users have access to all investigations at the hospital, they had no way of being notified that a new investigation had been opened within the hospital. In this release, we added a new email notification specific for Investigation Viewers and Admins that will notify them that an Investigation was created.

This notification is ON by default for all users that are Investigation Viewers or Admins. The frequency by default is set to Daily with a delivery from 7am to 11am.

This notification is ON by default for all users who are Investigation Viewers or Admins. The frequency by default is set to Daily with a delivery from 7 am to 11 am.

The email will provide a roll-up of all investigations that were opened based on the frequency (e.g. if the frequency is Daily, the email will contain investigations opened yesterday, if the frequency is Weekly, the email will contain investigations opened since last week).

IRIS 2.0 Beta Improvements

Single Calendar Date Range Filter

Based on IRIS 2.0 beta feedback and internal UX evaluation, the current 2 calendar date pickers created an inconsistent and complicated experience. To enhance simplicity and user-friendliness, the date picker filter will be updated to a single calendar selector.

Untitled

  • When picking a custom date range the first click selects the Start Date, the second click picks the End Date
  • The Start date and End Date will be displayed in the date fields & the date filter

Integrate Department-Based Toggle into Department(s) selection

IRIS users want to efficiently identify high-risk users & compare them with peers in their specific department(s), without needing to select the department(s) and then remembering to turn the department-based toggle on (UX Debt). To improve this, department-based scoring will be integrated into the specific department(s) selected, which will only display users with activity in those specific departments.

  • Department-based toggle will be removed from the IRIS Worklist
  • Department-based scoring will be integrated into department selections, which will persist across metric pages as a user navigates
  • This enhancement means reviewers will be able to look at IRIS users in 2 perspectives:

Untitled

  1. No Departments Selected (Default) & Hospital User Comparison:

If no departments are selected (default), all users and their activity across all departments will be compared with peers within the same departments, which will be totaled to create the hospital score.

  1. Department(s) Selected & Department User Comparison:

If specific departments are selected,  specific users & their activity in the selected department(s) will be compared to peers in those departments.
