Features
Event Editor Updates
We are ready for beta! A couple minor improvements were made to Event Editor UI and functionality allowing us to kick-off our beta. More on that will be communicated directly with our development partners + folks participating as part of the Community beta group.
New this sprint: Updated warning message and improved language to better describe what may happen when moving an event to another summary.
Variance Categories - Included In Variance Trends checkbox
A minor usability improvement so that any custom categories created in the following parent categories, the “included in variance trends” checkbox should be pre-selected by default: Incorrect Documentation, Documentation Timing Issue, and Missing Documentation
For any custom categories created in System Limitation, the ‘included in variance trends’ checkbox will continue to be not selected by default.
Users can continue to override the default depending on how they want their custom category setup.
Ability for Managers to merge existing mapped users
Added the ability for Managers to merge two Mapped Users through the existing Merge To feature that Admins have access to. This should cut down on some Support requests and is also related to a community idea: https://community.bluesight.com/discussion/457/give-manage-users-a-method-to-fix-mapped-user-errors#latest
Manager users should now see a new Merge to button next to each user.
Once selecting a user to Merge, users will have the ability to search for the other user to merge to or be considered the “target user”.
Search to find the target user you want to merge to.
Once you select a target user, you’ll have the opportunity to review, switch users, and re-reconcile event summaries. Re-reconciling event summaries will trigger ControlCheck to re-aggregate existing data to merge the data into the single user. If you choose not to re-reconcile event summaries, old data will continue to reflect as the 2 separate users and the change would only be made moving forward.
Review, switch users, and choose to re-reconcile existing data.
Allow Managers to split and un-map meds
Allow Managers to split and un-map medication identifiers! One of our top support requests, this will be released as a limited and closed beta initially to validate our solution. Once we are confident in our solution, we’ll circle back with more updates! Here’s a sneak peek:
Manager users will now be able to expand medications in their formulary and see the source system med name plus the option to Split and Unmap the med identifier → sending the med identifier back to the ummapped med queue. The button will only be displayed if there are multiple med identifiers mapped to the ControlCheck medication.
Account Management → last login and export user list
In this release we’ve added the ability for Managers to export a CSV of users from the Account Management table of users at that hospital. In addition, we are adding “Last Login” to the table and the export. This is related to a community idea: https://community.bluesight.com/discussion/538/user-with-full-access-right-capability-to-download-list-of-all-account-users#latest
Last login will display the date/time the user logged into any ControlCheck hospital. For users with multi-hospital access, this may mean a different hospital than you are viewing the data for.
Updates & Fixes
- A bug fix to resolve EDI invoices with no events that were remaining in a “received” state which blocked other EDI files from going upload complete. We now mark those as “complete” instead of letting them remain in a received state.
- Minor update to a fix made last sprint re: Provider Identifiers update: when ControlCheck receives a new provider identifier for a given provider, add the identifier to their provider record so that the system always has the most up to date information about a provider and ensures that the most accurate provider is picked for a controlled substance event during processing. This feature was released last sprint but by default is turned off until we verify the behavior with a few beta sites.
- A bug fix for users with access to multiple hospitals, they can receive errant Progress Note Update emails even though it is disabled for that individual hospital.
- Addressed technical debt related to the User Mobility report. Minor user impact changing the scatterplot graph to show departments worked vs total events by provider.
- Minor bug fixes when it relates to Dispense Patterns and Variance Trends.
- When clicking on the Dispense Patterns metric on IRIS and there is at least one selected department, that/those department(s) should be selected on the Dispense Patterns page.
- When viewing a non-RN on IRIS dashboard, after a user clicks the Variance Trends metric the Variance Trends page should load with no department and the page should not break.
Upcoming Features & Bug Fixes (next release)
Release Quazepam - Week of 08-28-23
- Some ongoing work will be going on related to IRIS over the next couple of sprints. Specifically, we are looking to improve the navigation and guidance of IRIS by adding global filters to make the review/investigation process much more seamless.
