New Beta Features Coming Soon!
Variance Categories
We're thrilled to announce that Variance Categories is almost ready for our beta group! This new feature is designed to give managers more flexibility and control over their auditing process, which will ultimately help them to identify and prevent diversion and risky practices more effectively.
With Variance Categories, Managers can create custom variance categories under one of our four standard categories: Documentation Timing Issue, Incorrect Documentation, Missing Documentation, and System Limitation. This means that they can tailor the categories to suit the specific needs of their hospital and their audit policies.
One of the key benefits of Variance Categories is that managers can choose what close status a category is tied to. This means that when auditors are reviewing and closing variances on the Audit page, they don’t have to decide if it’s reconciled or not; they can just categorize the variance based on their hospital’s diversion auditing policy and the rest of the application will handle the logic accordingly. This makes the auditing process faster and more efficient, reducing the workload for both auditors and managers.
Managers can also decide if a custom category is included in Variance Trends or not. For example, if a manager decides that a particular variance caused by a specific System Limitation is not risky and should not impact a user’s IRIS score, they can choose to exclude events summaries with that category from the IRIS Variance Trends score so that users with concerning variances are better highlighted.
Here’s quick sneak peak at this awesome new feature!
A great highlight of the new feature is that managers can add, edit, and save categories and their settings from the Manage tab before they actually launch the categories in their hospital’s auditing workflow. Variance Categories is a massively exciting feature that touches all parts of the application. Customers need time to ramp up their new auditing policies, create training documentation, and familiarize their users with the new workflow. The Publish Categories feature for Managers give them full control over the launch of Variance Categories at their site.
We know that our customers are always looking for new ways to improve their auditing process, and we believe that Variance Categories is the perfect solution for them. This feature is designed to help customers to better understand and prevent diversion, and we're confident that it will make a significant impact on their overall auditing process.

Event Editor
In this release, we’re delivering a functional prototype of Event Editing to our testing environment! This powerful new feature allows power users to regroup events from one event summary and form a new one, making it easier than ever to properly manage a drug’s chain of custody history in ControlCheck.
At ControlCheck, we understand that managing medication history can be a complex and time-consuming task, which is why we are constantly working to develop innovative new features to streamline the process. Event Editing is just the latest example of our commitment to providing the best possible experience for our customers. Check out a sneak peak below! ?
With Event Editing, you can regroup events with the same patient and generic medication, allowing you to easily correct any mistakes and streamline your workflow. This limited functionality is available in our testing environment, and we can't wait for you to try it out soon!
Stay tuned for more exciting updates from ControlCheck, as we continue to work to provide the best possible experience for our customers.
User Role Filter Enhancements on Run Report Page
The User Role filter on the Run Report page has been enhanced to match the functionality of the User Role filter on the Patient Care Audit page. Users can now select a specific role to filter to or select a group of roles, such as Anesthesiologist or RN. This will streamline the workflow for sites that want to quickly capture data for a certain role group.
