Related Events Will Only Show the Same Medication by Default
Based on feedback from the Beta Community, the new Related Events feature now includes a Show All Medications toggle to filter in more events for patients on different medications. By default, Related Events will only load patient events for the same medication as the Current Event. More feedback on this feature can be found on the Community page.
Beta users reported that "Seeing only the drug involved as the default is ideal." and "...there should be another button to show just patient events related to the medication in the viewer." Therefore, we introduced a new filter to the panel to refine the default load of Related Events.
When a user expands the Related Events panel, the events displayed by default will be for the same medication as the Current Event. In the example below, 17 events are loaded by default for the patient. To filter in more events for the patient, click the Show All Medications toggle.
This will filter in more events for the patient. In the animation below, notice that the event count has increased to 31 events after clicking the Show All Medications toggle.
More Timely Assignment Email Alerts
User mborden asked us on the Community Idea board, “…Could these [assignment emails] get sent more frequently? In real time or every couple of hours would be preferred.” Check out the full thread here.
We are excited to announce that in this release, assignment email alerts will now be sent more frequently, as customers have requested. Subscribed users will now receive an email every two hours summarizing all events assigned to them during that time period. This will increase response time and improve notification system performance.
For users who are subscribed to the Assigned to an Event Summary email, they will experience the following behavior:
- If a user is assigned one event summary, enqueue a back-end job to email them 2 hours later.
- If the user is then assigned 99 more event summaries within that 2 hour period, they’d be captured in that email.
- If they are assigned more event summaries 2 hours 10 minutes later, they’d get the next email in another 2 hours.
This change also has the added benefit of increasing the performance of our current notification system for recurring emails.
Replaced "FIN" with "Patient ID" in ControlCheck Event Summary Emails ?
User rxvb added an Idea to our Community board about making the Patient ID information more clear and consistently-labeled in the Email Event Summary email body. Check out the full thread here. Thanks for this suggestion, Verity!
In this release, we are replacing the FIN label in the email body with Patient ID. Below is what the email body looked like prior to this release; the identifier was labeled as FIN, even though it might be another type of patient identifier like DOB, CSN, or MRN.
Now the value will be labeled as Patient ID so that the label is more generic and is not incorrectly mis-labeling a patient identifier value.
