Improved Audit Filter Components

Updated design of Patient Care Audit filters to improve consistency, performance, and scalability! Review Audit has been named Patient Care Audit. 

The default view of filters in Patient Care Audit

 

  • In the default view, the most commonly used filters are displayed first:
    • Date Created
    • Status
    • Department
  • In the expanded view, all other filters can be found by expanding the filter view


New Date Reconciled Filter


Introducing a new Patient Care Audit filter - Date Reconciled!


This filter allows you to quickly identify event summaries that were reconciled within a specific date range so that variances closed by Nursing can easily be audited by Pharmacy.

Many hospitals adopt an “audit the auditor” workflow whereby the Pharmacy will want to review the variances closed by Nursing. 


This new filter makes it easy to know which event summaries I am auditing vs. the ones my colleague should be auditing. 

  • Please note that the Date Created filter determines which event summaries are initially shown and the Date Reconciled filter only applies to this event summaries.


Require Note to Change ES Enhancement

In this week’s release, we are improving the usability of this feature with an updated Status Update tray and clear instructional text for adding notes/ changing status. 

  • Selecting the “Add Note” button on the ES card opens the Status Update tray instead of the inline note field.


Instructional text is displayed above the text area in the Notes Tab of the Status Update tray

  • The tooltip appears when a status change is attempted without a valid note



Upcoming Features & Bug Fixes (next release) 

Release 181 - Week of 09-23-24

  • Improved Audit Oversight by allowing closed event summaries to be verified and marked as reviewed via an “Oversight Audit” checkbox. Ability to filter for Oversight Audit in Patient Care Audit table and Run Report. This will be enabled with a new Security Role permission for Oversight Audit.
  • Simplify IRIS review workflows by displaying "Investigate Data" transactions in date order
  • Improved feature usability: update Action Time metric description and direct navigation to the Investigate Data page
  • Updated Investigate Data Page: clearly communicate presented data/ relevant transactions
  • Customizable Action Time policy thresholds by Nursing or OR modules: Ability to set action time policy thresholds for First Dispense → First Admin and Last Admin → Last Waste
  • To adjust any of the customizable action time policies, please submit a support ticket:   


For the Nursing Module, set the action time policy to:     

  •  Nursing Average 
  • 15 minutes  
  • 30 minutes  
  • 1 hour (default selection)  
  • 2 hours   


For the OR Module, set the action time policy to:   

  • OR Average (existing behavior & default selection) 
  • 15 minutes  
  • 30 minutes  
  • 1 hour  
  • 2 hours  
  • 4 hours  
  • 6 hours  
  • 8 hours
