Dashboard Overview

Use the dashboard to help you focus your workflow, quickly understand how your facility is doing at a high level, make the login experience snappier, and provide an easy jumping point to multiple parts of the application.

If you have the ControlCheck Dashboard set as your preferred landing page, when you log into ControlCheck, a snapshot of data for the last 30 days will now be right at your fingertips. With two panels worth of data, reporting on monthly progress is now easier than ever. The Documentation Accuracy panel gives you an overview of how the documentation at your facility measures up. The Current Case Status panel displays a snippet of data pertaining to your open and closed investigations. The Open IRIS Reviews panel allows you to see the number of flagged users that require review or reviews that are currently in progress.

Documentation Accuracy Panel

The Documentation Accuracy panel allows you to quickly review metrics on your facility's performance. In the outlined box below, you will see the following details:

  •  Open Variances percentage - This represents the ratio of currently open variances from the last 30 days as compared to the total number of event summaries from the last 30 days.
  •  Closed-Reconciled percentage - This represents the ratio of variances closed by staff as reconciled from the last 30 days as compared to the total number of event summaries from the last 30 days.
  • Closed-Unreconciled percentage - This represents the ratio of variances closed by staff as unreconciled from the last 30 days as compared to the total number of event summaries from the last 30 days.
  •  Closed by Bluesight percentage - This represents the ratio of event summaries auto-closed by Bluesight from the last 30 days as compared to the total number of event summaries from the last 30 days.

To jump directly to the Audit Table, click on any of the percentages.

This panel will also provide you with a breakdown of variance rates by department, sorted by their Priority:

  • Red - High Risk
  • Yellow - Medium Risk
  • Green - Low Risk

Priority is assessed by incorporating information about both the variance rate and the total variance counts. More specifically, the bars are ranked highest to lowest variance count, modulated by a function of the total number of medication events.

  • Higher percentages of higher overall med event counts will be ranked higher in the order.
  • A high variance rate, even as high as 100% in a low-volume area, may rank below a lower variance rate in a higher-volume area.

The overall count of medication events for a specific metric - department, medication, individual - is indicated by the length of the bar. Those Closed-Bluesight medication events are indicated by the grey portion of the bar.

The variance rate is displayed as a percentage and reflects the number of variances compared to the total number of medication events.

To view the event summary breakdown by department, hover your mouse over a department bar. For additional information, click on a department bar to drill down to the Nursing Variance Trends report for that department.

Current Case Status Panel

This panel presents the total count of open cases alongside the number of cases that have concluded in the last 30 days.

It is crucial to remember that the data displayed pertains solely to cases accessible to you. For a more detailed analysis of the showcased data, you may utilize the 'Go to Cases' link situated in the top-right corner of the panel to transition to the Cases dashboard.

Open IRIS Reviews Panel

This panel displays the number of flagged users that require review or those reviews that are currently in process on the IRIS Worklist. This panel allows you to see reviews for both the nursing and OR modules.

To jump directly to analytics, click the Go to Worklist link in the upper-right corner of the panel.
